Mary playing

Mary loves her little activity mat. Typically she will play with the toys for a long time without a fuss, but I have noticed that lately she gets lonely when Emily is not around entertaining her.
Notice how Emily has all of her babies lined up for class next to Mary. Emily likes to have music class or any other class with her dolls. Sometimes she reads them books which is so darn cute. Mary is of course her star student.

Play date with Sarina

Last Friday we went over to my friend Marji's house. The girls had a blast playing together. Of course they were having the most fun right when it was time to leave. Isn't that how it works?

Here is Sarina (2) with Mary (5 months).

Notice Mary and Emily have matching outfits on. Their shirts are from grandma and grandpa and say "I'm cute, my mom is cute, and my dad is lucky."
Having a tea party.
Dress up time - hopping around the room like bunnies.
Emily was the leader and was always telling Sarina what to do, I guess you could say she was a little bossy. Luckily Sarina didn't mind and actually thought it was funny.

Marji and I used to work together and we both got our MBA's from Wayne State University. It's so nice getting together with a friend with the same professional background, so we can talk about career and work stuff. Marji also comes to speak to my class once a semester.

Making Vegetable Soup at Preschool

Thursday Mary and I helped out at Emily's preschool. The teacher asked me to help make Vegetable Soup to go along with the book the kids were reading called "Growing Vegetable Soup." I made the soup at home and then took it into class so the kids could add to the soup.

After we read the book together each child added a vegetable to the soup and stirred the soup.
Emily adding carrots to the soup.
Emily stirred the soup.
Yum, this is good soup! Emily and Blake eating their soup.
Lining up for the next activity.

Circle time before being dismissed.

It was a lot of fun to see what they do at preschool. I wasn't the best helper seeing I had Mary with me and she took up a little bit of attention until she feel asleep at recess.

Mary can roll from her back to her tummy now!

Mary rolled from her back to her tummy today, so now she can roll both ways. She started rolling over from her tummy to her back on September 12th. Mary is in no hurry to be mobile, I am not sure if it's good or bad.

60's in November?

Dressed for Church

I love dressing the girls alike for church on Sunday. Aren't they just precious here ready for church! We actually made it to church on early this week (because of the time change).

Mary & Emily playing

The girls are so cute playing together!

Emily watch out, Mary is going to get your hair! Mary does pull out Emily's hair and right now Emily thinks it's funny! Actually so does Mary! I am sure that will change soon enough!
Mary just smiles and smiles.

This is a good book!
Sisters are so precious!

Adrian College Football Game

Saturday my girlfriends and I enjoyed tickets to the Adrian College football game. It was wonderful, we had tickets to the president suite (thanks Mom & Dad) which was toasty warm and had delicious food. Here I am pictured with Jill and Shanan. Adrian won 33-7 over Hope and we also watch the Michigan game on the TV's in the suite (they won in triple over time). It was lot of fun, thanks hubby for watching the girls so I could have some time out!

Father Child potluck at Preschool

Jim went with Emily to the father child potluck at her preschool. Emily was in heaven and so excited to take daddy and show her around school. They had a great time and the kids sang songs to the dads!

Mary can take off her socks now

These pictures are of my angel Mary a few weeks ago. And yes, she can take off her socks now. :)

Sleeping Beauty

Mary is so precious sleeping in her crib. I think she looks like a little doll. Looks like she is going to have straight hair too.

More Halloween Fun

On Halloween we went to my parents house and then over to our friends' house for trick or treating. Because we are out in the country, it's not really condusive to trick or treating.

The girls had a wonderful time. We went to maybe 15 houses and Mary rode along in the wagon all bundled up and was a little champ. Emily ate two pieces of candy on Halloween and hasn't asked for any since. I haven't given her any either, but I think her dad has given her some? He likes candy so when he eats it she wants some too. I don't eat candy, so I don't really think about giving any to Emily either. Sugar lowers your immune system and who needs that anyway?
