Zoo Pictures without the Animals

I was brave yesterday and took the girls to the zoo by myself.  We'll not really by myself, we met my friend Cathy and her daughter Emilia there.  Emily was really good and exceeded my expectations.  When we were with Cathy Emily rode in their wagon, but Emily did do a lot of walking before and after we met up with them.  Especially in the afternoon after Cathy and Emilia had left I was glad Emily kept up even though she was very tired.

Wow, look at those seals!  (in the tunnel) - Cathy, Emilia (1) & Emily

When I was nursing Mary before we went home Emily kept posing for pictures, she actually brought me the camera to take pictures of her!

Hair Cut

This week Emily got a couple of inches cut off her hair.  The hair cut doesn't look as drastic as I thought it would, but her hair looks a little bit thicker and is healthier.  No matter which way we cut it, her hair is fine, limp and straight.  I don't think she will ever have thick curly hair like me.  Darn, but maybe Mary will?

Emily was so good when she got her hair cut!
This is serious business

Blueberry Picking = Success

We decided to go blueberry picking again because we heard that the conditions were excellent and they were right!  Jim, Emily, Mary and I went blueberry picking last Sunday and we picked 16.2 pounds of berries!  I had to stop to nurse Mary a couple of times, but we did remarkably well with two kids and in the 90 degree weather.

This one?

Sunday Best

Sunday the girls were dressed so nice for church I decided to try and get a few pictures of them together in their Sunday best.  Surprising enough, it's easier for me to get Mary our 2 month old to smile for the camera then Emily our 3 year old.  Crazy!

Here are few pictures of the girls in their Sunday Best ...

Mary likes the bouncy seat

Last Saturday we went over to Julie and Erik's for dinner.  They had my favorite beef burgundy and we supplied corn on the cob, zucchini bread and then smores (at the bon-fire) for dessert.  We had great fun and Mary just loved their bouncy seat.  Here is a picture of Mary with Megan Cabble.

Sisterly love

I snapped this picture with my phone when the girls were cuddling yesterday.  It's not the highest quality picture, but they look so sweet together.  Emily loves to hold her little sister and it's so cute to watch Mary smile and coo at her.

Chelsea Summerfest

We had a packed week, on Friday we went to the Chelsea Summerfest and Emily had a blast!  The thing she wanted to so the most was jump in the moon bounce, she liked that more than the magican and even Colors the clown!

Opps maybe I should have put shorts on under Emily's skirt!  Emily was really jumping
Giving the bear a high five (Emily was a little unsure at first)

I couldn't believe all of these pictures where taken with my phone and turned out pretty well!  Mary was there too, and a perfect angel.
