What is wrong with this picture?

Monday night I was gone to class.  Jim took the girls to my parents house.  I guess he grabbed Mary's shirt thinking it was Emily's.  So Emily wore Mary's shirt home from my parents house, it's size 3-6 months.  When Emily woke up on Tuesday morning she was still wearing it.  Her belly hangs out the bottom, this picture does not show the true story very well!
I often find Mary's clothes mixed in with Emily's or vice versa, and sometimes Jim gives puts my underwear and socks in Emily's room.  We are about the same size so I can see why he gets confused.  I don't say much because who can complain when he is helping out.  :)

Coloring is Tiring!

Camping took at toll on Emily.  On Monday afternoon when I was getting ready for work Emily was coloring.  Jim got home about 4:30 pm and said why is Emily sleeping in the kitchen?  I went out there to find this!

Sleeping in the tent

Here are the girls sleeping in the tent on Saturday morning.

Mary & her Panda Bear

The highlight of Mary's camping trip was playing with her panda bear.  Now she can get it into her mouth!

Water Fun at the Campground

Emily enjoyed swimming at the lake a couple of times when we were at the campground.  The water was a little cool, but it felt good in the hot sun.
The kids worked on this huge sand castle and water way project!
I busted Jim getting Emily wet!
Emily is enjoying Claire's floating bug with Kira.
On Saturday evening we heard something about swimmers itch, but nobody in our family experienced it.

Camping with the Bible Study group

We are a part of a wonderful bible study group at our church called home builders.  It's a group of families that meet while our kids play together.  Every summer we go camping together for a weekend, and it's a ton of fun.

Here is Emily sitting around the camping with her milk mustache.
Mary was asleep in Julie's arms, it was cold at night so Mary has a hat on.  It got done to like 55 degrees which felt really cold compared to the mid eighties during the day.  Megan is the little girl in the picture.
Here is Emily trying to dry off her bike from the dew in the morning.
Daddy with Mary hanging out.
Emily can ride her bike now!

Playing together

It's so fun to watch the girls interact and play together.  Mary smiles and giggles at Emily, and Emily gets so excited.  Emily really loves her little sister.

Chelsea Fair 2010

Last week was the Chelsea Fair.  It's a great fair for a small town, with lots of fun activities and events all week long.  Unfortunately we missed opening night on Tuesday because Emily came down with strep throat.  It was the first time she has taken antibiotics.  She has been very healthy (I think nursing those first 2 years helped) and so we have been fortunate, but I was really dreading doing antibiotics.

Finally on Thursday night we made it to the fair, and it was a good thing we did because we spent the rest of the weekend camping and missed the fair parade!

Here is Emily and Jim "milking the cow."
Emily loved touching the chicks.
The rides were Emily's favorite - here is Emily with her friend Josie on the train.
Mary patiently watched from her stroller (here she is sucking on her bottom lip which she likes to do).
Jim & Emily on the airplane.
The carousal went fast!  It made me dizzy watching it and taking pictures.  Here is Josie & Mark, Emily & Jim, Ruby & Jaimie.
Emily had one last ride on the train on the way out, she loved pulling the bell the entire time and sitting in the very front!
A quick video of Emily and I on the big slide!
We had a great time with our friends - Mark, Jaimie, Josie & Ruby!

Emily feeding her baby

Emily likes to feed her baby when I feed Mary.  The only problem is sometimes, she wants to use my pillow!

Here is Emily feeding her baby ...

Here is Emily burping her baby after feeding it (using my pillow) ...

Cuddling

Emily loves to hold her little sister Mary.  I have this feeling that soon Mary won't sit so patiently and will start to wiggle more when Emily holds her.

It's amazing, but it's easier for me to get Mary to smile and look at the camera then it is for me to get Emily to do it.

Aren't they so cute together?  Notice how Mary has even less hair than last week!

Mary's 3 month old pictures

I took these pictures last weekend when Mary turned 3 months old!  I can't believe she is getting so big.  Mary laughs a lot now, and is loosing her hair!  Once in a while she will grab a toy now which is so cute.  Mary is very laid back, easy going and content.  She is a great sleeper and sleeps from about 10 pm to 6 or 7 am which is heaven for me!

Last week she went to Adrian College with me and went to a meeting and sat quietly in the library, she is a perfect angel!

Fancy hair do

Last Sunday I was getting ready for church and I asked Jim to dry Emily's hair.  Emily said she wanted a "fancy hair do" for church.  This is what Jim did for her "fancy hair do."  I couldn't do without the bangs, so we brushed them down again before church.

When I came in the bathroom, this is what Jim had arranged, Emily sitting on the stool brushing her teeth with Jim's electronic toothbrush!

Girl time

Here is a picture of Emily and Mary hanging out together last week.

Volleyball girls

Last week Mary and I went to visit a friend of mine from volleyball.  Here is her daughter Oli who is 5 months old with Mary who is 2.5 months old at the time.  Hopefully they play volleyball together too!

Cousins July 4th Photo Shoot

When Sarah and her family came to Michigan in July we decided to do pictures of the kids together.  These may end up on a Christmas card and are just nice to have.

Caleb Gifford (8), Katerine Mull (6.5), Emily Heiss (3), Susanne-Jane Mull (8.5) with Mary Heiss (6 weeks), & Joshua Gifford (5.5). - The front porch of my parents centennial farm.

The mom's were not anticipating being in any pictures, so we didn't color coordinate like the kids.

Sights & Sounds with Sherri

My friend from college Sherri and her boys came for dinner last week and then we headed to downtown Chelsea for Sights & Sounds.

Emily, Ethan, Cole and Sherri waiting in line for the balloons.
Emily got a cat, Ethan a dog and Cole a hat.
Mary slept most of the time.
Dancing on the library lawn to the band was a big hit!
Gotta love that face!
