Family time after the Christmas program

After the Christmas program we had to take a picture in winter wonderland.
Grandma came to the Christmas program and then back to our house for lunch. Here is grandma with the girls.

Emily likes to help Mary with whatever she is doing, what a good big sister.

Christmas Program at Peace December 12, 2010

Emily & Blake singing at the Christmas program, they sang so loud they could be heard at the back of the church. Several people told me they stole the show. I was amazed at my little princess and so proud. I think it helped that Blake was singing real loud which encouraged Emily to do the same.
Blake happy that Emily gave him her candy cane. Blake's candy cane broke and Emily insisted that he have her candy cane that wasn't broken. What a sweetheart. I hope she stays this way!

Emily was a little nervous and cuddled with me and her bear before she went up to sing.

Making Christmas Cookies

Jane and I have this tradition of making Christmas cookies together every year. My favorite part is decorating the sugar cookies. We did some extra special sugar cookies this year and layered frosting, I can't remember what it's called, but they turned out beautiful.

Emily decorating some chocolate cookies for herself and Alan. Emily kept taking Alan cookies to eat in the other room.
Too bad Emily took off her sweet Christmas shirt and hair bows. She ended up decorating cookies in her pj's from nap time. Of course no nap.

Emily was good at putting on lots of goodies.
Grandma Jane I'll help you!
Look at all of those cookies!
We decorated lots of snowflakes

Grandma Jane opening her Christmas presents

We spent the day with Grandma Jane on December 11th making Christmas cookies and opening a few presents.

Women's Advent Tea December 10th, 2010

My cousin Diane and I hosted a table together for the women's Advent tea at our church. We had such a good time and Mary was a perfect angel.
