Amy is 9 months old!

At nine months Amy is on the move crawling everywhere!  She also has two bottom teeth now.

Amy enjoys eating baby food - especially fruit!  Her favorite is pear apple soup, and chicken mango sweet potato.  Amy will even eat liver and roast beef.  Everything is pureed and soft for her.

Amy tells us what she wants and will squeal and scream to communicate!  This month mommy started her new job and Amy has been great for Christine Kelly and Tanya Strong when mommy is away.

At her 9 month appointment Amy weighed 17 pounds 7 ounces and is in the 32% for weight.  She is 26 and a half inches long which puts her in the 7% for length.  She might be short like her great grandma Weidmayer (Irma Weidmayer is 4'11").

Merry Christmas!

On April 5th we welcomed Amy Jane to our family.  Amy is the happiest baby, very vocal and scoots around the house.  She loves to wave and clap her hands.  Amy has been such a blessing to our family!

Mary is three and a half and goes to the Chelsea Co-op preschool two mornings a week.  She loves being a big sister and helping with Amy.  Mary was the flower girl in my brother’s wedding December 14th and danced until 11 pm at the reception.  She loves glitter, tape, playing dress up and teaching school to her baby dolls.  Mary sings “Born to be Wild” while riding with grandma Weidmayer on her gator around my parent’s 120-acre farm.

Emily is in first grade and has Mrs. Ingall for a teacher.  Her favorite subject is math and she also loves gym, music and going to the library.  Emily was a greeter and handed out programs at my brother’s wedding.  When she is home she loves to build forts with Mary, ride her bike and play outside.  A favorite tradition for Emily is making Christmas cookies with grandma Jane and Aunt Lin.

This fall I cut back to teaching one class at Adrian College so I would have more time with the girls.  I was approached about a new opportunity and decided to take it!  I will start as an Institutional Research Officer at Adrian College in January.  I feel very fortunate that I will go to campus one day a week for meetings and then work the rest of my 20 hours from home.  We have two lovely neighbors that will help watch the girls when I am working.

Jim is enjoying his program manager position at Consumers Energy.  He often travels to Muskegon and Grand Rapids for his energy efficiency programs.  Jim just bought a smoker and is having fun smoking various meats and food.  This summer he ripped out the carpet in our master bath and has put a beautiful design of slate flooring in.  Plus while he was at it he built a large custom shower with slate, pebble stones and two showerheads.  It sure is nice having a handy husband because there is always something to fix in our home, on our cars or his tractor.

We still enjoy gardening and the outdoors. Lucy enjoys her daily walks to the bus stop and playing with the girls.

Merry Christmas,
Jim, Beth, Emily, Mary, Amy & Lucy (yellow lab)

Amy is 8 months old

At 8 months it was right before Christmas and back at JC Penny for Christmas photos.  The girls wore these beautiful blue dresses from Gymboree and after waiting over an hour for the photos they did a great job.

Amy is close to crawling and wiggles all over the place!

Amy is 6 months!

I took Amy to JC Penny for her six month photos.  They did a great job!  She was all smiles and captured their hearts.  During her 6th month she starting waving!  I couldn't believe it.

Amy is still very happy and so much fun!

Mary's in Preschool!

Mary goes to the Co-op Preschool in the 3's class.  On her first day it was constitution day for Emily's school so Mary also dressed in red, white &  blue.  This was her pose!

She sported her princess back pack from her God mother Diane.

Here is Mary with the class pet.

Mary is leading the calendar in this picture on day 2 of school!

Counting the days in September until the 19th!

Picking sunny on the weather wheel.  It's always sunny with Mary!  She loves it - especially the dinosaur song (which goes along with the theme)!

Emily is in 1st grade!

Can you believe Emily is in 1st grade?

So you ask what does Emily like to do?
-Lego's
-Biking (without training wheels)
-Playing house with her sister Mary
-Board games
-Mario on the Wii with her daddy
-Video games on the iPad

Emily is getting so grown up.  She is great at helping with her two sisters and especially loves to cuddle Amy.  The first thing Emily does when she gets off the school bus is come home, wash her hands and then hold Amy.

These pictures are from the first day of school this year!

Amy Jane is 5 months old

Everywhere we go people comment on how happy Amy is.  She is one of the happiest babies I have ever seen!  Amy is such a blessing because she smiles constantly.

Amy also is rolling around and so we have to be careful where we leave her that she doesn't get something she shouldn't.

Amy also likes to suck her thumb like her big sister Emily.  The above duck is one of Amy's favorite things to play with - that along with her big sisters Mary & Emily.
